ApplicantA student who has applied to an internship.
ApplicationA submission made by a student for an internship opportunity.
Application GateA rule or condition that must be satisfied before an application can proceed.
Application StatusThe current stage of a student's application.
Auto-ArchivedThe inactive state reached when an internship remains paused for the defined enforcement period.
Auto-PausedAn internship temporarily hidden from students because the employer has unresolved application activity under EIES.
Career ScoreA profile quality indicator that helps students complete important profile information.
cTbCareerTruss Bridge - The Bridge that connects Students and Employers/Companies or vice versa
cTb creditsCareerTruss Bridge Credits, the platform's internal credit and payment system.
CTNECareerTruss Notification Engine, the system responsible for generating and delivering platform notifications.
EmployerA company or organization that publishes internship opportunities.
Employer RoleThe account role used by organizations managing internship opportunities.
Employer SubmissionInternship information submitted by an employer for administrative review.
EIESEmployer Inactivity Enforcement System, the system that monitors unresolved employer application activity and applies automated enforcement.
External ApplicationAn application process that redirects applicants to another website.
Grace PeriodThe additional time given to an employer to resolve overdue applications before enforcement occurs.
Internal ApplicationAn application completed directly within CareerTruss.
InternshipAn opportunity offered by an employer for students or early-career professionals.
ListingAn internship opportunity published by an employer.
Listing StatusThe current lifecycle state of an internship listing.
ModerationThe review process performed before a listing becomes publicly visible.
Moderation QueueThe collection of employer submissions awaiting administrative review or action.
Needs ChangesA moderation outcome indicating that an employer must modify the submission before publication.
NotificationA system-generated message triggered by a platform event.
Notification DispatcherThe service responsible for processing queued notifications and delivering them to their recipients.
Notification TemplateA predefined message structure used by CTNE for a specific notification event.
Pending ReviewA listing waiting for moderation before publication.
ProfileA student's or employer's information displayed within CareerTruss.
PublishedAn internship that has passed moderation and is publicly visible.
ReactivationThe process of returning an auto-paused internship to an active state.
Resolved ApplicationAn application that no longer requires employer action and therefore does not contribute to EIES inactivity.
Saved RolesA collection of bookmarked internship opportunities.
Site SuperintendentThe administrative role responsible for overseeing the CareerTruss platform. In the current system, this corresponds to the Admin role.
Standard InternshipA regular internship classified as either Unpaid or Stipend.
StatusThe current stage of an application or internship listing.
Student RoleThe account role used by students searching and applying for opportunities.
Training / BootcampAn internship-type opportunity involving structured training and classified separately from standard internships.
TBATo be announced.
VerificationThe process of confirming ownership of an email address.
WarningAn EIES state in which an employer has overdue application activity but still has time remaining in the grace period to respond.
WithdrawnAn application voluntarily withdrawn by the student.
